Sire Details
Talisman was a standout in the Young Jumper divisions. As a 5-year old, he won the prestigious YJC Eastern League Finals and as a 6-year old he placed 6th in the Championships. Brave in any environment and game to compete, Talisman continued to develop up the ranks and consistently pinned at top venues including Wellington, Kentucky, and the Hamptons.
Talisman’s success is backed by a strong pedigree that foretold his jumping ability. Sire Toulon was a top-level international show jumper under Hubert Bourdy. A standout sire, Toulon also has many offspring competing internationally. Toulon has been consistently in the top rankings and is currently #4 in the world for Show Jumping sires based on the WBFSH Sire rankings. At the 2014 World Equestrian Games there were 4 Toulon offspring competing. In the US, we see Toulon offspring competing under top Grand Prix riders such as Laura Kraut, Charlie Jayne, Candice King, and Quinten Judge. Grandsire Heartbreaker was also successful internationally with top placings at shows such as Falterbo, London, and Aachen. From Talisman’s dam, the influential stallions Alexis Z, Alme, and Pilot are added to his genetics. Alexis Z earned 15 wins at S-level, sired 20 licensed stallions, and his offspring have won over 1.3million euro in sport.
Talisman’s foals show his strong influence, inheriting his curious attitude that seeks attention. They are intelligent, responsive, and have been uncomplicated to start. The Talisman foals show a kind eye, an excellent walk, and a good model. Depending on the qualities of the mare, he can be bred towards either the jumper or hunter rings and we are seeing his early offspring showing successfully in both venues.
