About - Onassis stood out at the KWPN Stallion Show as the most complete stallion of his year. He has good reflexes and athletic ability. He also scored no fewer than five 8.5s in the performance test, including for canter, reflexes, technique and aptitude as a showjumping horse.
Sire - His sire Grandorado TN is one of the most successful sport stallions of the moment under Willem Greve. Due to an unfortunate injury to his rider, Grandorado TN missed participation in the World Championships in Herning, but with three double clear rounds in five-star Nations Cups and a victory in the Grand Prix of Indoor Friesland, Grandorado TN showed its best side in 2022. He also earns his spurs in breeding; Onassis is already his fifth KWPN-approved son.
Damline - Onassis's dam line goes back to an excellent Dutch family. Great-grandmother Richella is the full sister of the famous Burggravin, who won Grand Prix at the highest level under Roelof Bril. In breeding, Burggravin was the basis of many international showjumping horses, including the world-famous stallions Darry Lou and F-One USA. Darry Lou won, among other things, the Rolex Grand Prix of Calgary and jumped with great success last year under Harrie Smolders. F-One USA made its championship debut in 2022, reaching the individual final of the World Championships in Herning under Lorenzo de Luca.
