PROGENY:
Sensational new leading Sire in Ireland. The only sire to challenge the total supremacy of Clover Hill (probably the best stallion ever to stand in Ireland) in the Young Horse Championships at Millstreet.
From a stallion herd of 500, capable of producing a qualifier for the Young Horse National Championships including such world class performing sires as Cruising, Spring Elegance, Touch Down and Carrol's Flight, most stallion owners would be pleased with more than one qualifier!
In 1993 with his first crop of 3 year-olds, The Millstreet National Championship, the Young Irelander was something of a testimony to Cavalier. No fewer than 8 of the Cavalier 3 year-olds qualified for the Millstreet final with 5 winning through to the Saturday night's final session (last 30).He finished with the Champion, Magnetic, 5th and 9th.
In 1994 Cavalier had an unbelievable 14 qualify for Millstreet in the Young Irelander, while in the 4 year old Championship, the National Discovery he had 3 in the final 12.
In 1995 a daughter of Cavalier, Lady Betty, won the Young Irelander again from his 6 qualifiers while in the 4-year-old champioship he had 14 starters, and unbelievably 7 still in contention for the Friday night final session. He finished with 2 in the last 10 including the runner up (second place), Clona (now called Gardini Stardust)
Cavalier has had more winners and finalists of all the young horse championships than the progeny from any other stallion in Ireland.

Cavalier offspring are now also having a lot of success in three-day eventing in England and Ireland and in a short time you will see them hitting the headlines in this discipline as well.

STUD MANAGERS RECOMMENDATIONS:
Cavalier stamps all of his stock with his own good looks and wonderful temperament. The are all spectacularly good movers and are very athletic and regardless of the dam they all seem to jump. He gets about 65% seal brown in colour like himself with usually very little white on them and approximately 35% rich bay, an occasional grey but no chestnuts. He transmits much more blood and quality than you would expect looking at him so he is very suitable for your average half-bred mare.
