Akzent's sire Absatz, is one of the few sires who had an enormous impact on Hanoverian breeding after the Second World War. He gave the modern Hanoverian the characteristic and incomparable "Absatz type" which this breed was envied of for a long time and by which this breed still profits in the second and third generation even today. A noble head with an impressive face, ideal neck and saddle position, as well as light-footed paces combined with a good shoulder are the characteristics of his offspring and his most important sons - such as Admiral (I and II), Aktuell, Argentan or Akzent (I and 11). Dam-sire Waidmannsdank xx was one of the most influential thoroughbred stallions of the post-war period in Hanover. With regard to the number of approved stallions and main-studbook mares sired by him he is the leading thoroughbred sire of Celle, with regard to the number of registered competition horses he is beaten by Der Lowe xx. The legendary Ferdinand was Hanover's first top sire after the War.

Before Akzent II came to Oldenburg in 1985, he gained a great reputation in Hanover as a private stallion (Amselhof Stud owned by the Kemmer family) and as a stallion (on lease) at the Celle state stud in Altenbruch in 1980. The proven state stallions Acapulco, Akut and Alonso date from this time as well as the Grand Prix dressage horse Amazonas (K. Schluter), winner of the German Dressage Derby in 1987 and best Hanoverian dressage horse of 1988. At his new home Akzent II continued his successful stud career: His son Aczidos was placed 4th in the Federal Championships of riding horses in 1989 and top-priced lot of the Verden sales (DM 130,000). Donna Akzenta was reserve champion mare at the Oldenburg premium show in 1990 and All my Love was second of her class at the Federal Show in Verden. In 1991 Love Story 11 was champion mare in Oldenburg and three full-sisters and brothers caused a stir: Adios, dressage champion at the Federal Championships in Munich, Atachi, top-priced lot of the Verden sales (DM 210,000 and Alabaster, most expensive young stallion of the Oldenburg approval. In 1992 Amboseli and Alabaster passed the stallion performance test with outstanding results (more than 120 points)
